Uploaded in the last hour or so.

I thought DA came across well. Gave an honest assessment of his time at Grimsby and where we are currently. Spoke of what long term success looks like. Talks about the mistakes he has made whilst being here etc

Also took the urine out of scunny 😂

Worth a listen

Without listening (I will do later) is this what we're going to use to beat him with if we lose on Friday/blow smoke up his bottom if we win on Friday?

Looking forward to hearing what he says.  Bit of a coup for the DN35 podcast too, can't imagine there's many managers in the game who talk to fan podcasts whilst employed by the club.  I know they had McKeown on a few years back, which I think coincided with his testimonial year and of course 1878 have been on regular.  Fair play.

Did he mention we've only lost once away since he's been here?

we've had John 'football fortune' Fenty
Paul 'keep us shape' Hurst
and now David 'only lost once away from home' Artell   - he's continuing a proud tradition

Fair play to Artell, there's not too many managers who's put themselves out there like that.

Thought it was a good and open interview with good questions from Bruce and Mike, more informative then most of the Fans Forums.

It was a good interview just had a listen . He seems a good guy tbf . I'm still concerned in terms of his ideal of play and how it will translate in league 2 providing we are there next time out  .

I'm hoping he does well as he does seem to be willing to accept accountability of how things have gone good and bad  so I suppose it's just a case of wait , hope and see if he /we can get the recruitment right in the summer - one as bad as this previous and I doubt we will get lucky in avoiding the dreaded drop again , so let's hope lessons have been learnt and substantial improvements made.

There must be plenty of sacked football managers out there who have been out of work for months, were sacked for getting their team relegated and got, according to their fans, lucky with the team he inherited.

Whilst I’m still unsure on Artell that’s a gross misrepresentation of what he did at Crewe. He did get relegated in their second season in L1 but they finished a very credible 12th in their first season. It’s not an amazing record but certainly not as bad as you’re suggesting.

Not convinced by Artell but time will tell. He tried his way, it was a disaster and we kept getting battered and now he's got back in his box and turned into mini Hurst. I'm hoping there's a third way at the start of next season.

I wonder how many former L2 managers of the season are available?

Unless it's the antique one from Bethlehem and over 2000 years old, it's a bit steep for a rack holding hay for animals, isn't it?

I'm not convinced as well, however, he's the manager we have, so I back him and the team.
Having said that I must point out that we sacked PH who had managed 722 games, and 7 clubs in 14 years, and employed DA who managed 274 and 1 club in 5 years.

Conspiracy Theory No1.      Was season 2023-24 the first season "Data" ruled everything? Was the squad recruited by AN Other using this "Data" with PH having to mould them into a team with results that we all saw? I mean they have played like utter strangers for the most part and some with non-existent basic skills.  We've all ordered from the internet items, only to find them not the colour you thought, flimsier than the image intimated, and in the end disappointed. Is this a similar thing?
Conspiracy No. 2.              When PH was sacked, we were assured that the time taken was to get the right person. Were you, as myself, when DA was announced asking, who? Why did it take that long to employ a manager who had been 18 months unemployed, is it because others just didn't want to join and work under these conditions? DA himself has said on many occasions that the two shareholders want and are running very differently from other clubs. Is that one of the differences?  Food for thought eh?
Onto Barrow and hope Rose is fit as we need him. UTM
