Their ex-Grimsby contingent will probably be getting a bit bigger this summer

Isn't Amos out of contract in a couple of months so highly unlikely he will play for us again?

If Hunt is still under contract for another year, I can see him either being leaned on to find himself another club, which, if successful, would more than likely mean having his contract cancelled, so he can sign for whoever, OR he is loaned out again for the minimum duration until January, or possibly the whole season, back to York.

Personally, all this waxing lyrical by DA about how good Hunt is, I dont think he will play for us again in a competitive match.

We wouldn't cancel Hunts contract, i'm told York have an interest in taking him back but it'll obviously be dependant on Artells plans for the summer.

I wonder if York would entertain the idea of swapping Hunt for Billy Chadwick, to give us an option up front?

That lad's career is a bit of a downward spiral isn't it?

Yeah genuinely interested to see if all the 'nice things' he's said about current players over the last few months was genuine  or just a bit of lip service to motivate them to avoid the drop .... guess we will find out when the retained list is announced .

Looking at the comments on York’s Facebook page, it would appear their fans are keen on them snapping Hunt up and a few rating Amos also.

I reckon Amos will be at York next year. He did well for us in the NL. He's reliable and does the job at that level. He just doesn't have the skills needed to progress the ball up the pitch in L2. I wish him well though, I sort of feel with a lot of our squad it's not like the 09-10 side who I genuinely hated or the team that got us relegated last time who had Steffan Payne and the other Danny Rose who were batshit. Our squad this time was full of decent, hardworking players who just weren't good enough at EFL level. I can't bring myself to actively dislike any of them.

How long have you watched football to know loan players always return to their parent clubs at the end of the season.
Absolutely doesn't need a thread

Personally, I rate Amos far more than Hume, especially as he's a natural left-footer. Not everyone's cup of tea but I suspect it's more to do with his stature than his abilities,
