Stalemate in Morecambe

By: Rob Sedgwick

GRIMSBY continued their six match unbeaten run with a dull 0-0 draw at Morecambe in atrocious conditions. Neither side really looked like breaking the deadlock and the match ended in a stalemate.

Russell Slade again named an unchanged side for the trip to Morecambe, with the only change being on the bench where forgotten man Tom Bolarinwa made a rare appearance.

Sam Jones had an early chance for Town but narrowly failed to connect with a good cross. At the other end James McKeown made a diving save to deny Luke Conlan.

Town were second best for most of the first half but gradually established a foothold in the game after the break. As the game neared its conclusion both sides looked contented with a point, and so it ended.
