Question of the Week

Who will win League 2?

Bolton Match On

Tonight's game with Bolton will be going ahead regardless of the current fuel crisis around the country. Several clubs had hoped that tonight's League programme would be cancelled as the shortage of fuel will undoubtedly affect attendances and gate receipts everywhere.

A Football League spokesman said, "We have a fairly tight football calendar these days and we don't know at this stage how long this will go on for. Obviously we have a great deal of sympathy for supporters and their clubs. We are concerned about anything that could affect the revenue of our clubs." This weekend's games could be even more seriously affected as clubs could decide on an individual basis on whether to cancel games unless the situation improves. Full back Danny Butterfield returns to the squad in tonight's game against high-flighing Bolton, which kicks of at 7:45 pm.
