The Game is On!

Gillingham Football Club have just issued a report stating that the game against Grimsby Town is not postponed and the pitch is considered to be playable by tomorrow. A pitch inspection was made at 9.30 at Priestfield Stadium by a FA official who declared the pitch was playable.

A Gillingham spokesperson said that more rain is due on Saturday but their ground staff are prepared for that eventuality.

The Grimsby squad will therefore be travelling to Gillingham as planned. This is good news for the club who already have a backlog of postponed fixtures to cope with. So too for Grimsby fans who have had to wait two weeks for a game.
