Keith Alexander 'Big Keith' was one of football's mysteries. One minute he'd produce a a piece of skill so fantastic Real Madrid would almost whip their cheque book out. The next he'd take three swings at the ball and miss each time, Real were still tempted.

After two good season's following transfer from Non-league Barnet, Keith was kept out of the first team by Neil Woods and was eventually sold to Stockport in August 1991. Alexander has just become Alan Buckley's assistant at Lincoln City having managed non-league Northwich Victoria last season.

Next Player: Paul Futcher
