Fiery midfield player who was signed on loan by Buckley in the 97/98 season. This was at a time when Buckley was just starting to find his feet again after a rocky start to the season. Holsgrove arrived at the same time as when Buckley re-signed Dave Gilbert on loan.
The idea was that Holsgrove would sign permanently, but it was never to be as he clearly did not do enough to earn a contract. So, he played a few games, went onto the bench and eventually trotted back to Reading, never to be seen again.
