Steve Livingstone Returns To Training

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 03/01/2002

GOOD NEWS today for the Mariners with Steve Livingstone reporting back to the club following his surgery in a Manchester hospital. Although it will be some weeks before he is fit to play, he is keen to get back in action and has started his training.

Livvo told Mariners Net, the official site, that he would be starting with some cycling today and over the weekend, with some work on the treadmill and walking and light jogging.

The good news is that he thinks he could be 'realistically' fit for a return to duty at the beginning of March, which means he could be challenging for a place in the team for the last 10 games of the season.

If that is the case his return will be most welcome and new manager Paul Groves must be hoping to see him back in action adding some strength to the front line which has been badly missed since his injury.
