Injury Problems Mount

TOWN's injury and suspension problems continue unabated going into the weekend's crunch game with Sheffield Wednesday at Blundell Park. The Owls have refused to allow on-loan Craig Armstrong to play in the game, and Darren Barnard starts a two match ban.

Centre-back Greg Young dislocated a shoulder during the 4-4 draw with Chesterfield and is unlikely to be fit in time for the match on Saturday. Tony Crane's latest ban has now been completed, although Mike Edwards will be pressing for a claim in defensive duties, either at the troublesome left back spot on in the centre of defence. Simon Ford, likewise, could feature in the game, after only making the bench for the game with the Spireites.

The inury problems may see the return of either Phil Jevons and Stuart Campbell in midfield, both of whom were dropped from the starting line-up at the weekend by Nicky Law, who has yet to record his first win since joining the Mariners at the start of March.

Striker Darren Mansaram also has a suspension coming up for his red card against Chesterfield, although that will not start until after the weekend.
