QPR Team News

WITH the relegation scrap at the foot of the second division as close as ever, Town start their all important Easter period with a trip to second place Queens Park Rangers, whom Town beat earlier this season in the FA Cup.

The Mariners have had no fresh injury worries since the game with Sheffield Wednesday last weekend, even Mickael Antoine Curier, who was stretchered off in that game should be fit enough to start alongside Isiah Rankin. More good news is that Craig Armstrong will be available for selection again after sitting out the Wednesday match after the Hillsbrough side refused to let him play against them. This could see Jason Crowe reverting to right back, Armstrong playing left back, with Simon Ford moving down to the bench.

Paul Warhurst will also return to the squad after training this week, but he may only make the bench due to the excellent performances of Edwards and Crane in defence last weekend. Darren Barnard continues his two game ban for collecting 10 yellow cards this season, but will return for the Blackpool game on Monday. Darren Mansaram, who started the game last weekend has a groin strain and is also suspended for the next two games after his sending off against Chesterfield the other week.

For the home side, they will have former Brentford midfielder Martin Rowlands absent from their side. He, like Darren Barnard, has a two match ban for picking up 10 yellow cards this season. Left back Gino Padula returns to their squad, whilst Richard Johnson misses out once again. Kevin McLeod, meanwhile, is in line for a recall to the side.

Probable Team

Town: Fettis, Crowe, Crane, Edwards, Armstrong, Anderson, Lawrence, Coldicott, Jevons, Antoine-Curier, Rankin.
Subs (From:) Warhurst, Ford, Rowan, Soames, Parker, Campbell, Thorrington, Hockless
