Slade Eyes City Striker

RUSSELL Slade is hoping to bring another loan striker to Blundell Park following the loss of Stockport's John Daly over the last few days. His latest target is understood to be Hull City's Jonathan Walters.
21-year-old Walters moved to the KC Stadium earlier this year from Bolton for £50K, but has failed to score a goal this season. With the imminent arrival of Stockport's Luke Beckett at City, Walters is liable to drop down the Tigers' pecking order.
Slade has so far brought 3 strikers in on loan, and loaned another (Darren Mansaram) out to Halifax - none of whom have made an impact at Blundell Park. Daly scored on his debut at Chester, but was dismissed at Scunthorpe, and has since been recalled to Edgeley Park.
