A warrant was issued today for the arrest of former Grimsby midfielder Ashley Sestanovich after he failed to turn up at court to answer a speeding offence. The former Blade, now with Chester City, played at Blundell Park on Tuesday night for his new employers, who lost 1-0.

The 23-year-old was committed on Saturday July 17th 2005 while he was in pre-season training with the Mariners. Sestanovich was clocked speeding on the A180 near Great Coates whilst commuting from his home in Catcliffe, Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

The London-born winger also faced other offences of driving without insurance and failing to produce insurance documents, which was proven at an earlier hearing.

Sestanovich, who has already been hauled before the FA this seaon on a misconduct charge, and has been kicked out of both Blundell Park and Bramall Lane in the space of a month, now faces a lengthy ban from driving.
