Grimsby Town defender Gary Croft has been ruled out of tomorrow's trip to Cheltenham because of a continuing problem with a knee injury. Russell Slade told the Grimsby Telegraph; "Gary's knee is swollen a bit after so much football in the early part of the season."

"The operation he had was a huge success but after so much time out, he is naturally feeling the effects a little. We are giving him an extra week to rest and hopefully the knee will settle down in time for next week's match with Leyton Orient."

"Macca has also missed training but is feeling a bit better and hopefully will come through training okay. Simon Ramsden is on stand-by but I'm sure Macca will be doing his best to prove his fitness."

On JPK Slade said; Slade added: "JP is feeling fine and was bright in training yesterday so that's a boost to have him back."

In other news Kevin Donovan has been released by Nationwide Conference North side, Alfreton.

There is still no news on the extra seats proposed by GTFC for the Newcastle game.
