Town Draw Pirates in Cup!

GRIMSBY have been drawn at home to League Two rivals Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup 1st Round. Manager-less Rovers had been expected to do well this season, but sacked their manager Ian Atkins after a poor start.

Grimsby will have acheieved their number one objective of a home draw, although the match is unlikely to attract as much attention as the recent Carling Cup fixtures. Scunthorpe were drawn away at Bury and Lincoln at home to MK Dons. The two big spenders of League Two, Wycombe and Northampton, were drawn together.
