Cockerill Linked To Town

RUMOUR and speculation is rife around Grimsby. Another name in the frame is Glen Cockerill. Cockerill who is currently managing Woking has been linked to the vacant Grimsby Town job and both him and Russell Slade are being linked to the Lincoln city job.

Cockerill told the BBC site; "I was brought up in Cleethorpes and my parents still live close to the ground."

"I had six fantastic years at Lincoln as a player - both clubs mean a lot to me, but I'm under contract at Woking."

Cockerill wanrned that any club who was interested should make a proper approach; "Any approach that any club make for me must be carried out via the proper channels and between the respective chairmen."
