THE season is upon us. Premiership-wise Chelsea look well ahead of the rest and are my tips to retain the title. Manchester United are in transition and may well have to settle for second place again this season.
Liverpool after a horrendous 18 months have found themselves way off challenging for the title after seemingly closing the gap on the top two beforehand.
Arsenal may be the dark horses to challenge Chelsea but again they seem to lack the staying power and player power to sustain a real assault on title glory.
Manchester City fans could be in for a shock, players need time to gel and foreign imports can need more than a few weeks to get use to the speed and the harsh reality of the English game.
For me Wigan have outstayed there welcome in the Premiership and will be lucky to survive,
Blackpool are living the dream but in reality they will be lucky to survive until Christmas, West Brom are the other pick for me if ever there has been a "yo yo club" the Baggies take the biscuit, tea and sugar.
It should be a great season full of thrills and spills as always I for one cannot wait.
