Grimsby v Mansfield Team News

DEPENDING on whether your glass is half empty or half full you can say that Town have only lost 1 of 4 games this season, or they have failed to win all 4. The defence has been doing its job, but 2 goals in 4 games tells its own story.

Grimsby have no known injuries but having played on Saturday evening less than 48 hours before kick off, it's likely that several players will have knocks of some sort and it's possible that the managers could shuffle their pack to keep players fresh.

Town's opponents Mansfield did not get off to the ideal start to the season. They lost their first two games, conceding eight goals in them. However, since then they have recorded two narrow wins, although the performances have not been great by the manager Paul Cox's own admission. Their last game as a 1-0 win at home to Hyde where the Stags managed to hang on and record a win.
