GRIMSBY have started their summer transfer business. Altrincham forward Justin Amaluzor has signed on a two-year deal, and defender Lewis Cass has joined Harrogate Town on a free transfer.
28-year-old Amaluzor has played on the wing, but can also operate as a front player. He scored 13 goals in 76 appearances for the National League side, and also had spells at Braintree, Maidstone, Motherwell and Aldershot. Amaluzor played 10 games in the Scottish Premiership while at Motherwell but the rest of his playing career has nearly all been in the National League South and National League.
Cass played in roughly half Town's games last season, mainly on the right side of defence, and was midway through a two-year deal at Blundell Park.
The Mariners have also signed two youth players on professional deals. Keeper Seb Auton (one year) and midfielder Henry Brown (two years) have both stepped up to the first-team squad.
