Andy Cook Signs on Loan

ANDY Cook is returning to Blundell Park over a decade after leaving the Mariners. The striker will be on loan from Bradford until the end of the season. The 35-year-old has played regularly for the Bantams until recently, but has slipped down the pecking order at Valley Parade.

Cook's final league appearance for Grimsby was in May 2014 against Gateshead in the play-off semi-final defeat. He also scored the opening goal in the 2013 FA Trophy final, which Town lost on penalties to Wrexham. Since leaving Blundell Park, the forward has played for Barrow, Tranmere, Walsall, Mansfield and Bradford, plus a loan spell at Tranmere.

Town have now signed additional firepower, having already added Tyrell Sellars-Fleming (on loan from Hull City), who came on as a substitute in the cup win over Weston-Super-Mare.
