Question of the Week

Who will win League 2?

Injury List 18/10/2001

By: Peter Forrester
Date: 18/10/2001

THE MARINERS face Gianluca Vialli's Watford side this Saturday and a win would be a much needed boost for a team that needs to show their early season form to get the 2001-2002 campaign back on track.

Paul Raven - the centre back has not featured at all this season but ironically made his come back against Scunthorpe, the exact place he sustained the injury that has forced him out all this season. It is thought the player will be back for selection for the Wimbledon away game in early November.

Dave Smith - "Smudger" has been struggling with a calf injury and it is yet to be determined when he will be back.

John McDermott - The right back suffered a major calf injury and was first thought he could be out for 6 months and would have to have an operation but fortunately for the player and fans alike the right back will not need a operation and could well be back by the end of the year.

Robbie Busscher - the exciting Dutch defender suffered a slight ankle injury but shouldn't be out for too long.

Wayne Burnett - the playmaker sustained a groin injury and is a doubt for the Watford game.

Michael Jeffrey - the forward is at Lilleshall having treatment on a back injury.

Steve Livingstone - it seems an age since we saw the striker on the pitch but he is back from Lilleshall and is doing light running and exercises. Slow progress but at least it is progress.
