December Player of the Month

HERE we are in the middle of the season looking towards 2004 and you the readers of the Fishy have picked six players for December’s Player of the Month award.

So here are the six nominations for December:

Mike Edwards
	Has been a mainstay in central defence despite having to wait for his debut with the Mariners, but has proven it was worth signing him and has formed a good partnership with Tony Crane. At the moment the former Hull City defender is front-runner to win this award	Mike Edwards Profile
Tony Crane
	As long as the red mist stays away from Crane he could be as good as any defender who has played for the Mariners in recent years. But this season will be remembered for his disciplinary record, not the way he’s played.	Tony Crane Profile
Phil Jevons
	Now he’s sorted out his dispute with the Mariners, Jevons is proving his worth on the field with his scoring so far and playing out of position all into the bargain.	Phil Jevons Profile
Stuart Campbell
	Stuart, despite the rumours, has had another steady month for Grimsby Town and no matter where he plays never looks out of place, but will he keep his word when it comes to negotiating a new contract at the end of this season?	Stuart Campbell Profile
Des Hamilton
	Coming back from a bad injury last season he has started to show why clubs spent heavily on him and will form a formidable partnership with the now fit Alan Pouton during the rest of this season.	Des Hamilton Profile
Aidan Davison
	Aidan was the fans' favourite to succeed the now departed Danny Coyne in the summer and has said this could be his last contract he will sign in professional football with any club now age is catching up on him.	Aidan Davison Profile
