GARY Cohen spoke about his ambition at Grimsby Town and says that he's delighted to be joining the Mariners and he's ready to try and prove himself at league level.

Cohen told Mariners Net; "I'm looking forward to coming to Grimsby. To be given a chance by Grimsby to play at league level is fantastic. I had a good season scoring a few goals and hopefully there's more to come next season." "I want to show the Grimsby fans what I can do." "I played local football before going to Gretna. I was kept out of the side by a guy called Matt Harrold. He was a good player then and you could see that he would probably make it."

"I do look to score goals with my feet but I did score a couple with my head last season. "I am a bit direct and have a bit of pace which strikers don't like. I have been known to poach a few goals." "I've been doing a bit of research on Grimsby and know about the bad years since being in the old first division. I want to try and help Grimsby at least get into the play-offs."
