John Stone1979/80-1982/83108 (5)2 goals

Right full back who made 94 league appearances for Town scoring two goals from 1979-83. Stone was experienced when he joined Town for £22,500 from Darlington, having played over 200 league games for Middlesbrough, Darlo and York.

Described by Doug Lamming as a "tenacious and solid tackler" with accurate distribution. Part of Town's Division Three championship winning side, and left to join Rotherham in 1983.
