Previous Clubs: Cambridge(l) Lincoln Leyton Orient Bristol R (l) Peterborough (l) Tottenham League Two Class: Spent all his career at this level or above Fishy Verdict: Toner took a while to find his place at Blundell Park but eventually settled on the left wing after Alan Buckley became established as Town's manager. Although nominally a central midfielder Toner's versatility has meant he has not actually played much for Grimsby in his favoured position. His good formed and goals for the Mariners attracted some interest in Toner, but he eventually signed a new deal with Grimsby in the summer and much is expected of him this season.
