Good decision in my opinion, Diego Simeone and Jurgen Klopp top 4 favorites to take over. This would be an excellent appointment in my opinion, will play a lot better passing and attacking football then what Moyes had to offer.

Apparently they had to tell the Stock Exchange first-Tells you all you need to know about Premiership football in the 21st. Century

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

Can't believe a club would let their outgoing manager decide who his successor will be, as good a manager as Fergie was.

Moyes record at Everton was good but not special, and the Old Trafford job was just too big for him. Expect him to appear at Villa or Newcastle, or some such mid table Premier league side.

Martinez has already made Everton a better side than Moyes ever could, and is a much more modern and progressive manager. Just the type Man Utd need in fact.

Also they had to do it when the NYSE was closed to avoid a share value slide, hence the reason It's this morning.

Absolutely ridiculous when it has come to this.

That's the crux of it. No European football is not good for the shareholders. Still, Moyes will walk away with 5 years pay. Not bad work if you can get it.

I can't remember where it was, but I read something yesterday which suggested a clause existed in his contract to the effect that they could get rid and not pay up his full contract if they faild to qualify for the Champions League. Sunday's results meant that it was impossible for them to qualify.....Sure he won't be in the queue at the local soup kitchen but mayeb won't be receiving a full 5 year pay up!

Didn't know that. Obviously they had catered for that eventuality and were just waiting for him to fail to qualify for the Chumps League.

As you say, he aint on the bones of his ar$e, and will be back in a job soon. Plenty of struggling Prem clubs will be lining up for him already.
