So I am not worried after 3 games unbeaten with an injury and suspension ravaged squad.

Does not seem indicative of a Positive Mental Attitude. Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day,teach a man to fish and you give him an excuse for him to escape from the wife and kids for the weekend and drink lots of beer.

We are known to them  by players and the manager too well . Really sad that I'm worried about  us playing Gateshead .

Does not seem indicative of a Positive Mental Attitude. I didn't say that. I think a play off spot should be our minimum objective, and I believe we can do that again with this sqaud. Whether we are in the running for automatic prpmotion depends whether, as has happened for three of the last four seaons, we get a runaway leader that is ouit of sight. The goal has to be to win every game. That's the mindset we need.

Except, of course, on the occasions when we pass it through midfield and try and get in behind the opposition. Here's a clue: we've missed a number of good chances this season from crosses so we're pretty obviously not playing long ball all the time. We do play it long too often, but it's ridiculous to claim this is all that we do. Hopefully, we'll be able to have a bit more penetration down the wings now we actually have a couple of wingers available to play.

That's a failing of the strikers (and sometimes the crosser), not of the system. It drives me nuts the way that none of our strikers ever seem to make near post runs as crosses tend to be underhit more often than overhit. In fact, last season, I only really remember Rodman nicking a couple in from near post crosses. This is something which can be coached to some extent, I suppose, but it is also something that pretty much any striker should know to do as matter of course.
