A disaster for FIFA.

I think this could lead to boycotts by UEFA  and major sponsors.

Hoping we'll break away with a lot of UEFA and a few other nations from the rest of the world. I would much rather watch a World Championship than the FIFA World Cup.

Another four years of mass corruption in football. Unless Warner spills the beans on Blatter which he just may do if it becomes evident he himself is going down.

What shocks me more is that he gets as many votes as he does.  Could this lead to a break away governing body?

He appears to be so well protected - obviously far more votes within the FIFA organisation than anyone else. Looks like FIFA is a club that it is difficult to infiltrate - will be interesting to see if the 8 arrested are guilty parties.

How can this election be allowed to go ahead with the corruption accusations going on???? Common sense would dictate it be postponed surely? It's time we boycotted FIFA - I'm sure other nations would follow suit - it just needs that first one

Also how much influence those arrested have over their counter parts to sway / direct votes, and if anyone will offer something on Blatter for leniency.
