We've not heard anything about what he's doing yet. I should imagine he'll keep his powder dry to see who Adam Murray brings in to be Matt Green's strike partner.
Murray wants to move away from the 'powerhouse' Paul Cox  style and play shexy passing football. Whether Ollie will thrive in that sort of team I don't know, but he didn't fit in with or couldn't do anything in Cox's style.

As you lot say the general feeling with us Stags fans is that he's not quite good enough on a consistent basis to cut it at Lge 2 level regulary, ie we are looking for better.

Do you think you were being a bit cute and offering him a deal to get a fee, assuming he'd join us, rather than really wanting to keep him?

that's my interpretation too. He's not rated at all by Mansfield fans. I'm not sure whether I want him here or not, undecided.

That could explain why it's all a bit quiet too if Town and Mansfield are trying to negotiate a small fee. I'd take him. Got some quality and a full pre-season with PH would get him fitter than he was.

I think we will end up getting him back on loan.

I'd be glad to see him back too. Offered some creativity and flair, and his finishing was generally a cut above what we've seen in recent years.

This for me. A bit fitter and he'd be more of an asset. Still would like a real marquee signing up top as well as Palmer ideally.

Who would constitute a marquee signing up top for you?

I'm not sure in all honesty. Perhaps saying marquee signing wasn't the way I should have phrased it. I like Palmer and he would definitely be an asset, if he was fitter over a whole season you could easy see him scoring 20+. But I would like a striker who can score a goal from nothing, who gets the crowd excited every time they get the ball and ideally has a bit of pace. I've only seen Bogle once but he was very impressive that day. Not saying he would be the man but I'd love to get a player who was as good and as effective as Hearn in his first season. That would take us up.
