Heard from a pal who has close links with Carlisle United that Eastleigh made a substantial bid to Carlisle yesterday for centre forward and top scorer Jabo Inherent. The bid was turned down but demonstrates that they are pushing the boat out this year to get into the FL.

Really? They must have some serious backers as their crowds are not that big.

I heard that they have submitted planning permission for a 9,000 capacity stadium costing £10 million! Surely they do not have the support to fund that.

both Eastleigh and FGR will probably get stung by the FFP when they get into the FL but i think, and i'm not 100% sure on this, but they might have a few years in order to expand the stadium, as on current attendances, there budget would probably get slashed.
