Sacked by Huddersfield. Odd one considering they kept them up

What???

They have got to be joking,  they've achieved their first aim, to keep them up when they were bottom. Given time, I am sure that they could have built up a good squad to challenge for promotion.

Wonder if they have a big name lined up?

The Cowley's need a club they can take full control off. Huddersfield too big a cub for their type of management style. With Leigh Bromby as head of first team operations they did not have the control they wanted.

Quoted Text
We have a different vision for the way we operate the Club, and how our ambitions can be achieved.”

So looks like the Cowley's way of doing things is not what Huddersfield want.

Quoted Text
The Club are not seeking applications for the vacant position.

Leigh Bromby taking over or a big name already lined up?

NB. Quotes from HTFC website.

I dislike them intensely, but that is a mad decision. They’ll get a belting pay off, though.

What's the betting on Lincoln suddenly sacking Appleton? Might be worth putting a shilling on!😉

Think this season exposed a lot of their weaknesses   See them as League 1 at best. Some of their footy At Huddersfield has been dire

Also bad timing.  They went to a club on the way down from a high peak.

It’s clear that either the vision agreed at the start was just separation to bring them in or this was the background plan all along.

They’re relatively intelligent chaps so I’d imagine they’ll be financially stable after this but I’m not sure a championship club will be tempted by them for a while.

They need a club on its bottom to fully reinvigorate like they did at Lincoln. Let’s face it, toward the end of their time there it was more like Cowley FC than Lincoln. That was never happening at Huddersfield. Their football isn’t great and I guess they’ll use that as an excuse too. They were given little resources and achieve the objective but this seems like a good opportunity for the club has arisen and they’ve gone for it. The fans don’t seem happy which I guess makes sense, probably an easier decision with no crowd in the ground either.

My view has always been their league 1 at best, they stood out at Lincoln because it was so bad that anything they did was likely to be a success. I think they’d have solidified Lincoln’s place in league 1 over time.

I’d imagine they’ll end up at a league 1 club and will likely have some success.
