If this virus allows us to play the whole season I am sure Matty will play in most of the games.

That will alert more clubs to take an interest and hopefully start a bidding war.

Whatever happens Matty will make a success of his career and I wish him well.

BUT

Hopes he stays with us to help us go up this season.

Not forgetting the great Bobby Moore .

Reading the game is like an extra yard of pace and nobody read the game better than Bobby.

Problem is he’s out of contract after this season and they’ll sign him and just pay us a measly compensation sum, if we’ve worked out that we have to offer him an improved deal first.

Aston Villa, Newcastle, Leicester and Watford also now linked with an interest.

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

Don't we have an option of another year ?

BUT

I agree that he should be offered a new contract because he deserves one.

It won't stop clubs coming in for him if they really want him.

Yes Pete you’re right mate just seen that there is an option, that should protect us a bit then.

The first yard is in the mind. Moore was the prime example of that.
