Great player and character. I had the privilege of playing against him in a veterans league in Huddersfield a few years back

A great player and a sad loss.. I find it hard to believe his dementia was from heading, more likely headboards.

I heard he was going to sign for Liverpool but failed a medical with high blood pressure. He was told to go on holiday, relax and come back for a second test. He failed that too with even higher blood pressure. He enjoyed the high life!

Great player. Lived life too. RIP.

They’re going thick and fast it seems.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

I was always a bit mesmerised by Frank's skill

As much as I loved Dave being with us, there was always a bit of me that thought how good it would have been if we'd have had him as well

Someone mentioned him playing for Leeds in "that game" .... I don't recall that him in that one

I did see him against Town at Brighton in the mid 80s.... a dour 0-0 draw but he still had more class than anyone else on the day

RIP Frank.... we won't see the likes of you again
