Fox - looks to me like he could be our next Disley. Demanded the ball, got up and down the pitch and has the eye to pick a defence splitting pass.

Utm

Agreed. As per my post on the day he signed, family and friends who live in Burton had rave reviews about him

They are still shocked he signed for a non-league club as apprenty he was a commanding player who played more like a seasoned mature pro. Was told he was scouted by Brentford and QPR before his injury.

Still think he's our most impressive signing, and we've certainly signed some excellent quality so far.

Really challenging run out for the boys today. They even stayed on the pitch at half time, so no rest from the sunshine.
I heard Dave Smith at half time telling someone that Taylor was sent to A &E as a precaution, so hopefully no real damage done, although he was feeling his hamstring when he pulled up.
Efete played well down the right, always calling for the ball and exciting to see him run at defenders, he did go quiet in the last 15mins, understandably in that heat. Could be an exciting player hopefully.
As previous poster stated, Scannel was struggling in the warm down with Doig, Person and another at half time, also didn't battle much for the ball, hopefully with a bit more pre season behind him he'll improve.
Fox very vocal in midfield, battled hard and was always looking for that killer pass.
Great to see young Essel and Braithwaite combine for one of the goals, and Wright's goal from outside the box was sublime.
Overall we did what was probably expected of us for a first pre season match.

Fairly sure I remember Edwin Essel producing some quality Dutch trance 20 years ago, looking forward to seeing what he can manage in 2021.

Feared the worst when Cleethorpes scored with the first shot of the game but we reacted well.

Worrying news about Taylor and LJL but Essel grasped his opportunity with both hands. Looked a real handful and didn't seem to have any fear.

Clifton had an extended half time break before coming back on for the last 30 minutes and was full of running.

Efete was very attack minded. Goundry was playing with a protective guard on his head. Whilst physical, I don't think he's quite ready for the first team yet.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Ferry Corsten and Armin Van Buuren were definitely Lennie Lawrence era Championship Manager regens, when they couldn’t afford the rights to use Robbie Busscher and Ronald Ermes.

I think a while ago he tried to create a "pontoon owls" sort of fan club which did not really take off (rightly so as it sounds ridicolous)
