You can quite easily marvel in the away win and still talk about other things too.
Yes of course bad things happen at other gatherings, especially when drink is in the mix. It turns good people daft but when you mix drink, drugs and idiots anywhere it very rarely ends well.
I disagree. Drink and drugs make people say what they really think but wouldn’t say whilst not under the influence. I’ve been drunk enough times in my life but it never turned me violent or racist. |

I was the person stood on the row behind you who pointed this out to him. Him and his mates came and stood in front of us on our row, never seen the guy at a game before and quite clearly was actively looking for some kind of trouble.
Are you the nice bloke from Leeds who asked my son for a score prediction when we were losing and he said we’d win 2-1? |

It’s easy to think 800 is a horrific number if you choose to ignore the vast numbers that do attend football…
You also need to consider how many of those arrests where bullshit, like assaulting stewards with deadly inflatables. |

Unfortunately whilst there is undoubtedly an issue to discuss the lazy journalist has ruined his piece by stating the supporters he was filming in the stadium were Notts County fans who at securing a last minute free kick sung their intentions to invade the pitch if they scored...which they duly did.
If you can't get a simple thing like identifying which supporters are which right then you lose credibility.
Chucking in lazy comments like terrorising rail staff and passengers and disabled supporters without any documented evidence or proof of that shown either again ..poor.
I am sure we all know there is a drug use issue in society as a whole, locally definitely an issue with it out and about on a night out...but sensationalizing it against a backdrop of football .....
again cheap & lazy.
Do some real journalism and dig out a proper story and to quote someone we all know..." get your facts right" before publishing it.
I look forward to his next piece where he follows park rangers into the wild to reveal the disgusting behaviour of bears who have been deficating in beauty spots.

I was there Saturday with a couple mates I travel with regularly to Town from a long way a way. Certain behaviour is unacceptable I certainly didn't see any unruly behaviour That's why we have the police to eradicate the unruly . Some weeks back myself and my daughter age 11 were on GY station heading to Cleethorpes for the Chesterfield at home Its 11-30 am 200 away fans on the opposite platform all dressed in black like some Russian ultras the police rounded them up and took them back to gy after trekking around Top Town looking for grief..They looked pathetic I couldn't stop laughing .This is part of going to the match It's not nice but it's a type of escapism, no-one can justify it. we all support football clubs on different levels and have different views on what is a great day out at the footy is. Bad behaviour is nothing NEW

Your experience of the game on Saturday proves my second point which was a mixture of Drink drugs and idiots doesn’t end well. Not sure anyone can say with a straight face that alcohol doesn’t turn good people daft (I’m talking silly not violent or racist). |
