Definitely a penalty for McAtee
Hudlin Smith was accidental
Waterfall was lucky the ref didn't give us a pen or his challenge would of resulted in one , rightly or wrongly
Crocombes first have save was world class

At first I thought Clifton’s miss was a shocker but having seen it in slow mo the pass jumped up on him . Should have been along the deck .

Mcatee ‘tackle’ was very late and on the ankle , penalty all day long . (At least 3 penalties in the playoffs turned down for us )

Challenge on Clifton could have gone either way but you would have been gutted if it had been given against you

I don’t think anybody around us in the ground saw the clear foul on Mcatee for penalty or was even vaguely aware of it I was suprised when saw it in n tv . So glad I  not a West Ham fan.

If the Clifton one is the one I’m thinking of, he opened up his body to use his right foot rather than take it more naturally and from a better angle on his left

I think Smith was genuinely going for the ball, but the connection looked nasty, primarily because it was a solid connection between his upper head and Hudlins cheek due to the difference in height.
I was amazed he initially played on, and thought it was very poor from a duty of care perspective.
It was a pivotal point though.

The McAtee incident was a deffo pen, which the BT team all agreed on.  They also suggested the refs view may have been blocked, and also the fact the ball was slipped to another Town player prior to the challenge there could’ve been an element of playing the advantage (though I’m not sure how that could be possible)

Waterfall was “streetwise” enough to lean and tangle with Dallas rather than fully pull him back, he knew he was totally beaten for pace and had to do something, but he made it look like a 50/50 incident

The Cropper pen shout, seen them given, but would’ve been “soft”, and unhappy if given against us

My assessment of the Clifton chance is same as yours, the cross wasn't the best , compare it to Maguire Drews ball across for Mcatee in the dying moments,  but if he had gone left foot I think it would have cannoned in.

Both Smith and Waterfall won some important headers, but I can’t help feeling the most important was the one Smith landed in Hudlin’s face.

I've not seen a replay of the incident since the highlights on the screen at the game (before extra time) when I was a bit preoccupied with what was going to happen, but it looked to me that Clifton didn't try to get on top of the shot as he should have done. Something I think a more attacking player might have instinctively considered. An excellent finish for JMD's winner, for example, despite the fact that he was at full stretch to reach it.

It's why I think we need a specialist left-sided attacking player in that role next season, as well as Clifton has done much of the time.
