From Solihull I would be chuffed with any of Dallas, Barnett or Sbarra. Elsewhere in the league it would be hilarious to sign Ruben Rodrigues just because of how salty the Notts fans were when we beat them. Other than that, I'd take anyone that PH trusts to be good enough.

Ryan Bennet

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Dallas and Sbarra would be top signings but I'd expect that other clubs will be in a feeding frenzy around them so it'd be tough. Kyle Wootton is out of contract and already has clubs interested such as Stockport and Portsmouth, think he could offer us something different up front in an out and out goal scorer. It really depends who we keep and who we let go.

Since someone mentioned Bahamboula in a previous thread, that would be a great signing!
Also from Oldham, Keillor-Dunn. 6th Top scorer in league 2, from an attacking midfielder in a relegated team.. Only 24, so i assume he will have offers from higher up

Some serious concerns over his fitness levels having played next to no football in the last two years, but it can't do any harm to get him in for training and see what shape he's in. Wouldn't surprise me if that happened.

I dunno. Heard a couple of things about possible incomings but the rumour mill is always strong at this time of year.

I'll just wait and see who arrives, then go to google to see who the hell they are.

Right now, I'm more interested in the retained list and which current out of contract players we offer deals to, or which contracted players are offered extended deals.

For me would be happy to retain most of team that got us up hopefully come start of season its not like before where team is dismantled after play off win..

Love to get Smith again if not Callum Howe impressed me Sunday for Solihull or Joe Lewis from Torquay.

Keeping Fox and getting McAtee on new deal would be priority number 1

Heard a whisper the other day that Ryan Bennett is buying a house on Humberston Avenue. That doesn't necessarily translate as moving to Grimsby, could be that he planned to relocate here after playing regardless and that opens up Lincoln, Doncaster or maybe even Hull. If true though and he does end up back here then that for me will be one of the best signings in living memory. Not getting my hopes up but after the dream that has been the play-offs I'm leaving the window open for another one.

Bennett is currently contracted to Swansea City, where I’d be surprised if he wasn’t on a very healthy 5-figure weekly wage. I’ll file that one under ‘unlikely’ for now.

Marek Stech (GK from Mansfield) - Fight Crocombe for the #1 spot.

Niall Maher (CB from Halifax) Thought he was amazing every time I’ve seen him

Cian Harriers - CB from Bristol.
More of a wishful one than expected. Played pretty much every game for Rovers in their promotion campaign and still fairly young.

Farrend Rawson - CB from Mansfield
Decent experience at this level and been at Forest Green and more recently Mansfield both near the right end of the table. Stags fans seem to rate him but made a silly mistake one game and Clough never forgave him for it.

Max Clarke - LB from Rochdale. Came through Hulls youth system and earned a move to Vitesse in Holland. Was tracked as a possible back up to Andy Robertson some years ago. Actually played against him and the best player I’ve ever played against, also can cover at CB

Nigel Atangana (CM from Exeter) - Upgraded version of Giles Coke.

Bahamboula - Winger from Oldham. Think he’s a very very raw player that PH could turn into a diamond with the right training.

Alex Rodman - More if a Hurst signing than wanting him even at the ripe old age of 35 I think Hurst loves a former player and might return for Alex in the summer if he doesn’t retire.

Just a few I’ve managed to pluck on my dinner break I’m sure there is a few more.

The key question going into this transfer window is 'how do we score more goals?'. Ultimately, it's the reason we didn't challenge for the title and was at the heart of our bad run.

And it's a tricky conundrum. Our team was essentially built around McAtee, but as soon as he's out the team, we struggle. And then there's Taylor. He's the perfect ploy for McAtee but does he offer enough beyond that? He's never going to score many and as soon as McAtee is out, he's pretty redundant. So, as much as I like Taylor, it feels like we should be looking for an upgrade. Who that is, I have no idea but I don't think we should get too held up on their partnership, it's replicable with the right player.

That's only one resolution, the other for me is the wide areas. Beyond JMD, the output of our wingers has been poor. Realistically, if we're going to stick with a McAtee-Taylor (or similar player) model, we really need a goal-scoring winger or 2. One like Sbarra who can crack double figures. If we had that this season, we'd have been up there. Of course, finding that player is easier said than done, but it's be nice to see us push the boat out for once to sign someone like Sbarra or even Dallas who could play out wide.

Tyler Walker has a good record at League 2 level, but a quiet couple of years. Might be a bit above our pay grade but I remember him tearing us apart for Mansfield.

Expecting a handful of good players I've never heard of though as per usual with PH

I remember this too, also feel like he did very well at Lincoln!
A quick search shows he's been in and around championship/league 1 recently, so highly unlikely

Harry Boyes- Solihull Moors Number 7 (Was on Loan from Sheffield United) - sign for a season long loan

Smith again don't think we can sign but another loan would suit both parties

Lessons learned no journeymen or those with wrong attitude which doesn't know fit the clubs ethos Greater Together and have the hunger tp succeed/point to prove.

Kyle Wootton- Age 25- Out of Contract-???

Fox was the injury risk this season like Danny Andrew was and I think you can only afford to take one risk like that each season.

One thing we do know is that every players character will have been researched. I would like to see us pick up a couple of players from the National League. Who depends on who we retain ourselves but Sbarra, Barnett (who chose Solihull over us) and Boyes wouldn't be bad signings. It seems that Neil Ardley recruits very similarly to Hurst too.

Smith coming back would be ideal. If not, the CB from Solihull with the hair band was very good against Chesterfield and won a fair bit on Sunday.

I think Taylor needs a decent wide man to deliver that near post that he attacks,  I think that Barnett from Solihull put a decent delivery in most times,  also Miller (?) on the left for Chesterfield has impressed me.

I would like to see Hunt possibly as well, we have tried probably 5 (?) other people in centre mid since he left and I don't think any have been a patch on his ability.
