Just thought it was worth a thread of it's own.

What a great job Hurst has done this season, never gets too high or low, can't believe how calm he was while some of us were nervous wrecks.

Quote from Gavan Holohan in the Telegraph today....

"Paul is different class; he's a calm head and never gets too high or low, which we have needed during this run. He has kept us calm in all the intense moments and used his experience to get us through. He is a pleasure to work with, and I am delighted for him too."

Well done Hursty...UTM

I think he's proved his point, he has always been transparent and a figure of calm and sometimes that's gone against him. I had no reservations about him coming back to Town, I respect that there were a few Town fans who weren't overly pleased.

I think every manager can come up for questioning when things don't go right, but I've never though Hurst gets too much wrong. Certainly at this level he has an eye for a few winners and he has done it again. I can't understate how seismic this promotion is for everyone involved in the club, and Paul and Chris take a massive slice of that achievement.

He's clearly popular amongst the players and I think that has resonated throughout the club, and this time he's got more of a smile now that he's knocking on Jason and Andrew's door rather than trying to get Fenty on side. I think he's done us a solid here, wherever he may go in the future, whatever he may do I think the last couple of weeks will go down as the finest moment of his career.

Absolutely delighted for him as a person and for us to have him at the helm.

UTM

I think he is so much more relaxed this time round. And I think we all know why.
I noticed that he started the ‘Who’s that team they call the Grimsby’ yesterday.
He was controlled enough not to sing the lines and we’re f***ing dynamite and we don’t have Fenty anymore. So no swearing or disrespecting his previous boss.
But the fact that he started that song says it all.
And the last chant of ‘anymore’ he shouted loudly !!!
Spot on Paul. 👍

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

I think the only other team was Cheltenham going straight back up in the 2015–16 season.

There is a couple going back to '88 according to BT Sport, can't remember who though. About 6 including us and Rovers I think they said.

All Town aren’t we

Cheltenham did it. P!ssed the league and got over a hundred points.

Think Lincoln did it years ago but that was under the old system.

Three teams in the present format I think.
