Throw ins or kick ins; it doesn’t matter which. They will both involve faffing around getting the most suitable player to take it and others to get into positions.

I see two possible ways of speeding up the game:
1) time limit ball is out of play, 5 seconds for example before it has to be put back in. This will keep the feeling that the gsme isn’t stopping as much and keep momentum going
2) like others have said, stop the clock when the ball is out of play.

Not always the team's fault.
I mean you could get a final match of the season, organised by a completely incompetent league, that is played in a huge athletics stadium. Said league then only provide 2 or 3 ball bays for the whole arena, and then, incredibly, only have 1 ball for 120 minutes of the match

I know it's difficult to imagine such stupidity or incompetence............

Another barmy idea.

If the power that be had their way there would be a world cup every year, every team in the prem would qualify for some european competition or other, players would play 100 games a season and no relegation for any club owned by a billionaire.
