Out of interest, why are people bothered about being on the telly?

Because some of us live quite a long way from Grimsby, and would like to watch it. Plus the money to the club!

Yep, £72k for a televised, 4th round replay. A televised win would mean £192k for the club, plus a share of the gates (probably about £50k). Then of course, whatever lay in store in the 5th round.

Can’t underestimate the challenge that remains in front of us, but it’s a big game for the club, make no mistake.

plus the exposure it gives to the club too. would possibly mean more sponsorship revenue and also more media coverage in the days leading up to the game.

it also gives the exiled fanbase (as previously mentioned) the chance to watch the game (ahem....legally) and also those closer that are unable to make it or simply can't afford a ticket (get the temporary seating debate warmed up!)

Money for the club , puts us in the spot light for sponsors and interested players that might be thinking of joining .

Draw will have an impact on this, if the reward for progression is a tie against Man U or Tottenham, it has infinitely more appeal than if it’s Blackburn or Stoke, it’ll have a lot less appeal.

I won’t be able to make the replay so I’m one of those ones with everything crossed we’re on the telly. 72k isn’t to be sniffed at, plus the gate receipts and hopeful prize money for winning, and maybe just maybe a massive draw in R5, and the cup run is all of a sudden very lucrative.

We’re going to get drawn at Old Trafford and lose the replay watch this space.

It does beg the question what a good draw looks like tomorrow. If Harry bags the third yesterday and we’re in the hat with no conditions, then the likes of Spurs or Man Yoo away are obvious preferences.

But you’d presume that such a tie would be significant incentives for Luton’s players too, and I’m not sure a motivated Luton rocking up at BP is really what we want.

Wrexham at home, should they get past Sheff Utd probably wouldn’t be the worst shout in the world.
