Beat the Bookies (Summer) Week 6

THREE wins out of four saw us move over the fifty quid mark in profit for the first time! Shame we didn't go for Castleford to beat Hull, they beat the 10 point handicap easily, in fact they won the match! Widnes finally won away as well the following day to cement a good weekend.

Football

  • Kansas City Wizards v Columbus Crew - away win (6.7, Marathon). There doesn't look much between these teams, both in the season overall or on recent form Sporting KC have got 23 points compared to Crew's 20, but Columbus have better recent form: they have eight points compared to six from the last six games.
  • New York Red Bulls v Houston Dynamo - away win (5.25, Bet 365). This is a similar story. There isn't much between the two sides in the league and both clubs are in poor form. Why are the odds so large for an away win?

    Rugby League

  • Huddersfield Giants v Catalans Dragons - away win (4.5, Titan). Huddersfield did well against Leeds last week but Leeds are rather understrength at the moment so the bookies might think Huddersfield are better than they are. Catalans Dragons will still be smarting from the home defeat by Hull KR last weekend and will be desperate to make amends.

    Tennis

  • Sabine Lisicki v Samantha Stosur - Stosur (2.52, Marathon). Stosur has an excellent head to head against Lisicki. The Ozzie is 4-1 up in games and 8-2 in sets against Lisicki.
