Question of the Week

Who will win League 2?

Looking Up…
Looking Up…

On the Way Up…

AFTER a convincing win at Tamworth following a dramatic thrashing of Dartford - can Paul Hurst make it another goal-galore win at Aldershot? With Hearn getting back into the swing of things and Hannah showing us why he made such an impact last season, it is looking good up front. Can John-Lewis carry on taking chances?

In midfield, Disley seems to have found his feet - scoring in our 5-2 win at Dartford. Neilson is yet to impress me, he is making the game run smoothly but let’s see those magic feet: I would like to see him back in his natural winger position taking on defenders and spending time in the other half. McLaughlin has seen a lot of start-to-finish play already this season and it is no surprise why: he seems to have got a complete set of passing ability as well as on-ball skill.

Our defence looked ropey as we let Ian Miller go, a wise decision I think not. He has, however, seemed to have made an immediate impact at table-toppers Cambridge. But Pearson has stepped up to fill that empty space in our defence and, as proven on Saturday, and he can score as well as defend. Goodall (on loan from Fleetwood) has a solid all round game. Chris Doig seems to be playing first team football more than coaching at the moment - I would love to see Hurst use full advantage of his sole-charge to make a good signing of a young defender in the transfer window - even if we only sign them on loan, as that seems to have worked well in the past (e.g. Neilson, Marshall and Hannah)

My opinion on the line-up is that a 4-4-2, like what has seen recent success should be carried on!! UTM!
