Dundee is hard to get for the the "2 clubs" question, unless you have a good memory.  Dundee were in the semi's in the early 60s I think. Glasgow Rangers also "qualified" about the same time.

Didn't Liverpool also get 2 clubs into the European Cup semis? Liverpool FC certainly, but didn't Everton get that far in the mid-80s?

Everton won the Cup Winners Cup as far as I can recall  (probably 1985 as they beat Watford to win the FA Cup in '84)

But even though that season they also won the old 1st division (which was the only way to get in to the European Cup back then, unless like Forest you were holders) they didn't get their rightful place in Europe again for this as this would have been for the 85-86 season which is when all English clubs were banned from Europe after the Heysel incident

This is all from memory but I think I'm right in what I've written

I thought it'd be presumed it was a competitive game, otherwise the first goalscorer would probably have been a builder who was putting the goals up who technically scored the first goal ever!
