You're out on a night out, things get heated and somebody reacts.  You wake up the next morning and think of all the things you could have or should have done better.  Most people would reflect on how we could have deescalated the situation or avoided it altogether.  It's part of learning and growing older and wiser. It's happened for millennia.  However, this is the digital / media age.  What once was seen by a small number of people is now banded about  and people have to accept the consequences, which often means a bunch of indignant people upping their virtue signalling and sharpening their pitchforks.

I suspect that Hurst will judge someone (and any player) by the friends they keep.

Whatever the truth, this matter that the club does not need.

Sir Matt Busby was a great manager.  George Best was allowed to get away with many things that other players would not.   There are always exceptions, for pragmatic and team reasons.  Rightly or wrongly.
