Depends on how the deals where structured between us and Peterborough & then between Peterborough and Bournemouth.

If Peterborough receive anything from the sale hopefully we insisted on a percentage of 'all' profit made on him by them when we sold him.

Even if we do get something, it's probably minimal as very diluted now.

It's highly likely the Peterborough chairman will take the first given half-opportunity to tell everyone what the terms of our agreement is anyway.

Good luck to the lad.  I loved watching him at first, thought he was badly advised and came across like a bit of a snake when we needed grafters.  But he was young and won't be the first or last player to have their heads turned by agents promising a path of gold.

We've done well out of him and even if we get a few thousand out of this move, it's money in the coffers that we wouldn't have otherwise had.

.

What got me is hearing story's from a player in league 2 being turned by agents. Growing up you think agents are only there for the most promising players with lucrative contracts potentially down the line .Agents though are ready to negotiate an extra £75 a week on wages of £850 for even average lower league players which is peanuts in the hierarchy of professional football .Just shows that where there is money to be made  people will follow. Ive heard as well of story's from a players mouth football agent company's  do little for the player in terms of helping them secure clubs/trials etc when they've been released and only turn up when there is a bit of money to be made at the negotiating table. And then to add insult to injury they send a rookie agent still learning the trade to negotiate on their behalf and charge for that service.

1878 seem to have done very well (or been very lucky) with all these little bits and pieces coming in.

Just in the last couple of months we've sold McAtee, had record shirt sales and gained c£100,000 from our League Cup games
And since they've taken over we've had 2 seasons of near record season ticket sales , sold Grist & Pollock, got the Dembele add on
cash, gained promotion and the £850,000 thats worth plus must've got a few quid from the 3 televised play off games

Wonder how they managed all that financial good fortune in 18 months, as opposed to fenty who probably achieved less in 18 years???

3 pages of talking about getting money for a player and not one person has regurgitated the myth that Fenty gets it all.

Have a listen to the Undrthecosh podcasts.  You have to tolerate the bantz type stuff in the first 15 minutes of each episode, but as long as you're prepared to skip through that each episode is really insightful and gives a perspective into the (usually) lower league level stuff, definitely Championship and below, daily ongoings.

A broken mirror is 7 years back luck.

So is it 18 years bad luck for getting into bed with a convicted conman?  Not sure if Lady Luck can premeditate future actions or not.  Minority Report stuff this.

The sell on clauses will be defined in detail in our contractual arrangements with Peterborough.
Not sure if that information is in the public domain but very much doubt it

JSF has just had £3.29 added to his bank account.

That £75 a week is a huge deal to the player, and that is why they pay agents to negotiate for them. Most football players aren't exactly intelligent or able to negotiate for themselves properly, so pay for somebody else to do it. Those agents are typically snakes and poor, but they serve a purpose as much for lower league players, where their contribution probably matters more.
