Not much of an achievement really is it?

Pour in loads of money, sign players capable of playing well above this level and amass a record amount of points.

Think some of us on here could manage them to the title with that advantage.

In fact, they could probably put one of us in their team and still win most games.

I’d like to see them and Notts come up. Proper football league clubs, long suffering fans who were class with us when we beat them both, and, frankly, the likes of Bromley, Borehamwood, Solihull etc do not belong in the EFL.

To be fair, walking out the ground after that Wrexham game was the most bizarre feeling ever. Of course there was jubilation and joy but it felt a little bit like the end of days or something…I felt like I was in a daze if I’m honest…wouldn’t know if their fans were class or not…

They showed great grace in wishing us well and donating money to fans who were struggling to afford Wembley.

And why not?  They have earned the right to play in the EFL, just like us.

They’re too little. They don’t have the stadium, infrastructure, resource, fan base or history to contribute anything.

I'd agree with that - if Solihull had beaten us they'd have deserved to be in the Football League, 'tinpot' or not. Otherwise, what's the point in promotion and relegation?

I would much rather we keep improving ,under the radar with Jason & Andrews intellectual capital than what Wrexham have ; I do not even envy them and feel like they deserve to get a bit of glory , they were and have always been a proper club .

I would only see a need to be upset if we were in a bad place and they were enjoying the riches we would not have .

We have 2 lifelong fans at the helm who will always have that .
We are the fortunate ones.


Once Wrexham reach League 1, they will require even more funding to succeed, and then The Championship is on another level to compete. It will be interesting to see what happens to Wrexham once their owners sell up.

I understand the argument and I know my view is flawed, but nevertheless, I just don’t want titchy little tinpot outfits in the EFL.
