The odd thing about this picture is that there is no floodlight pylon in the corner of the ground, so that indicates that it is a war time photo and possibly a southern based club, the reason being is that all pylons and such like were removed to prevent the Luftwaffe using them as land marks for bombing operations during the war.

So I am going for a south coast team, someone like Portsmouth, Plymouth, Southampton, Brighton or Bournemouth.

Might be miles off though with my assertions.

Btw, Derby played at the Baseball Ground, whilst Wrexham are at the Racecourse Ground.

Sorry to have to correct you on that one Joe, but from 1884 to 1895 Derby county played at the Racecoarse Ground in Derby,they didn't move to the Baseball Ground until 1895. Stand to correct me if I'm wrong.

Kennington Oval.?   With fencing around like that It must be used for other sports aswell as footie.I would have loved to see Cantona jump over those fence spikes.
