The standard of the Echo just keeps plummeting. I doubt John Pakey would even have qualified as a journo 20 years ago, but it says a lot for the publication that this garbage makes it past the editor.
The Echo is like the local team, it's been so long since anything of quality was produced that the locals don't know any better.

All they do is monitor twitter feeds and rely on bland press statements from the Police and L.C.C.
