Brett Williams' move to Forest Green is off after manager Ady Pennock refused to pay a fee for the striker.

The one-month loan deal expired after the New Year's Day victory over Kidderminster Harriers and although Rovers were keen to extend his stay, Pennock has opted against the move with Stevenage boss Teddy Sherringham demanding a fee.

Williams made six appearances during his stint at Forest Green, including three starts, and scored one goal in the 3-0 win over Kidderminster Harriers.


When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Christ we are trouble if we are going to trust Lincoln fans opinions of Nathan Blissett. The lad played less than a full game for them and they have made up their minds that he is rubbish. You can only laugh at them
