I’m all for forgiveness and giving people a second chance but if you are a convicted fraudster who has scammed vulnerable people then chose to invest in something that is outside the public eye out of respect for your victims.

The difference with Shutes seems to be that one was a takeover and this is an investment.

When this first appeared earlier this afternoon I thought it was nothing more than a case of convicted fraudster with no historic connection to GTFC at a game where the loyal fans who have spent a high proportion of their earnings on supporting Town for decades weren’t allowed to attend........ so nothing out of the ordinary really🤦‍♂️

On reflection though we’re crying out for investment but this guy does not look like a safe or worthy “custodian”.

As ever at best GTFC’s PR on top form at worst a move that could further disengage a very loyal support base.

Mariners Trust put out a statement on their website n on twitter. Dont sound very happy at all urgent meeting tomorrow! Intriguingly they say they are in discussions with previous potential investors???
