31 pages on this thread and we don't know any facts yet.  Although I don't want this guy anywhere near the club, I would like questions answered first before making judgement :-

A)  Did Fenty know of his previous convictions ?  There is a big reason why he canged his name.
B)   Is his reason being here related to GTFC or something else ?
C)   If it is GTFC related, he probably hasn't got enough money himself, so who is he representing ?  I doubt it, but it could be somebody reputable ( maybe he's best mates with a Hollywood film star )

Obviously he's not conned your elderly relatives out of there home/life savings so that's okay

I am not taking anything away from his awful crime merely pointing out that his breach of Covid rules which seems to be increasing in importance is not the real basis of today's panic and anger surely

Exactly, hang Fenty when we know

A) if he didn’t, he should have. Due diligence.
B) If it wasn’t, he shouldn’t have been at any of the last 4 games.
C) Probably still relates to Colin Dodds who I believe was also in the photo.

Reputable people would be unlikely to choose a convicted fraudster to represent them, I feel.

The Trust have already told us that he won't be involved in the day to day running of the club, and is part of a deal that " will help the club".

I will assume that it's some kind of enabling project involving property and probably explains the setting up of a property company with JF, so Swin has a point with his train of thought. JF would be run out of town if he relinquished GTFC to him or his associates, and he knows that.

However, he should have known better than to involve himself with a shyster and then there is his role of portfolio holder for regeneration to consider. Surely this can't all be above board given his majority shareholding in the club.

If this arrangement helps the club as the Trust have said, then it helps JF personally and that is a conflict.

I think Fenty’s main issue with Shutes is probably his membership and significant donations to the Labour Party. For example, earlier in the year he donated £15,000 to Lisa Nandy’s leadership campaign.

Re: Shutes... if he still wants to buy the club now is the time. Fenty has scored a huge own goal allowing that man into the ground.

Yep. But we’re not allowed to bring ‘politics into football’ are we. Even though, y’know, our owner is a local councillor for a political party.

Football and politics are mutually exclusive. Of course.
